If you don't want to use the drawstring feature, it is easy enough to avoid using it. I like this option, more peace of mind from theft and also keeps stuff in when I toss it on the passenger seat. The handbag itself is well made. It has a small inner pocket, I was able to fit my Samsung S22 in it just fine, along with face sunblock and sunglasses. I LOVE the handles and if you want to wear it as a shoulder bag it has that option. VERY cute.
